AT THE HEART OF OUR COOP PURCHASING POLICY

RESPONSIBLE PURCHASING

Our Responsible Purchasing Policy consolidates and reinforces the Sodiaal Group’s CSR strategy to offer quality and responsible products. It presents the commitments and actions taken by the Purchasing Department to reduce its social and environmental impacts in the conduct of its missions while ensuring the balance of relations between the company and its third parties, respecting their reciprocal commitments.
Our Responsible Purchasing Policy, which is a committed and responsible approach, is intended to provide a mutual vector for progress and innovation. It is aimed at all stakeholders in the procurement process: employees, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Our responsible purchasing goals and pillars

TO TACKLE THE CHALLENGES THAT LIE AHEAD FOR OUR COOPERATIVE.

Our Responsible Purchasing Policy has three goals:

  • Contribute to the overall performance of the Group and its subsidiaries by favouring purchases the environmental, social and economic impacts of which are as positive as possible over the entire life cycle.
  • Build balanced relationships with our suppliers and prioritise ethical and responsible supply chains.
  • Develop innovative partnerships with our suppliers to create sustainable value and increase our competitiveness.

The Sodiaal Group Purchasing Department articulates its Responsible Purchasing Policy around three pillars: Attitudes, Categories, and Responsible Suppliers.

Responsible attitudes

Responsible behaviour is fundamental to any business interaction, whether it be the buyer, supplier, or any stakeholder in the procurement process.

  • Sodiaal Code of Conduct: The Sodiaal Group Code of Conduct specifies the best practices to be followed individually and collectively, in particular, with regards to ethics, working conditions, and human rights. Our suppliers undertake to comply with it.
  • RFAR policy & label: The Purchasing Department ensures that a long-term and balanced relationship with its suppliers is built on mutual trust. Sodiaal also undertakes to comply with the ten principles of the Responsible Supplier Relations Policy, taking into account the major stakes of relations between customers and suppliers.

Responsible behaviour is fundamental to any business interaction, whether it be the buyer, supplier, or any stakeholder in the procurement process.

Responsible categories

The inclusion of CSR criteria in the various purchasing categories is essential for the construction of responsible categories. We have mapped CSR risks to identify the most exposed purchasing categories. In connection with this risk map and the Sodiaal Group’s CSR guidelines, we have defined roadmaps for 2030. They materialise the strategic and priority CSR goals for each Purchasing division, with a view to continuous improvement and value creation shared with our suppliers. We encourage our suppliers to take a proactive and continuous improvement approach through risk and impact assessments and by implementing action plans to manage and reduce their social and environmental impact.

Responsible suppliers

We strive to select suppliers of goods and services that meet the best social, ethical, and environmental standards, in line with our policy. The Sodiaal Group Purchasing Department continuously monitors the CSR performance of its suppliers through a recognised evaluation body, such as ECOVADIS, SEDEX, or equivalent. Action plans can be implemented with our suppliers to increase their performance and reduce major risks.

Sodiaal obtains the Supplier Relations and Responsible Purchasing label (RFAR)
