Pave the way for new DAIRY HORIZONS

We the Sodiaal Cooperative, a group of French dairy farmers and committed employees, act daily for food and agriculture, respectful of life and contributing to the dynamism of people and regions. Our roots and values guide us and remind us of who we are: a cooperative, built on a solidarity model, to develop and share the best of our dairy regions.

Tomorrow pushes us to develop, together, solutions to the challenges of the agricultural and food transition, by working to:

  • Control the impact of our trades on nature and reduce our climate footprint to aim for a positive impact on life and the land – from our member farms and dairies to the final consumer
  • Innovate our packaging and processes for better recyclability and resource circularity
  • Create a community of destiny, allowing each of our employees and members to invest in our capital and participate in the cooperative’s decisions to manage transformation together;
  • Focus our model on people to encourage entrepreneurship, reveal talent, cultivate diversity, and encourage pride in being part of the cooperative

As a dairy cooperative, involved in its regions and in tune with the times, we do everything we can to shape new dairy horizons.

Our CSR approach in three areas
Our CSR approach covers our entire value chain, from farm to fork.

  • YOUNG FARMERS:
    945 young farmers established since 2019*
    Our goal: establish 1,000 young farmers by 2026.
  • ANIMAL WELFARE:
    100% of our dairy advisors trained since 2020 and 57% of our farms already assessed at the end of 2021*
    Our goal: assess 100% of farms by 2024
  • CARBON FOOTPRINT:
    Measure and raise awareness:
    74% SelfCO2 self-diagnostics performed in 2022*
    Initiate the transition: over 1 500 assessments and CAP’2ER action plans in 2020 and 2022*
    Reward efforts (sale of carbon credits):
    over 320 farms committed to the Low Carbon Label
    Our goal:
    Reduce the net carbon footprint per litre of milk from our dairy upstream by 20% between 2019 and 2030.

  • NUTRITION & NATURALNESS:
    Improvement and simplification of our revenue in 100% of our trades.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT:
    Our goal: Reduce our carbon footprint linked to our processing sites and milk collection by 30% by 2030
  • PACKAGING
    95% of our packaging was recyclable at the end of 2021* (own brand consumer sold in France).
    Our goal: 100% by 2025

  • HEALTH & SAFETY
    Acceleration of our ‘safety first’ policy. GOVERNANCE
    Opening of the share capital to employees (20% of the workforce).
  • MEETINGS
    Launch of the ‘Tous à la Coopérative : ouverture de nos fermes’ network.
