Three ways of
SHARING VALUE
At Sodiaal, value-sharing — and therefore how our members are paid — takes three forms:
- The monthly advance milk price paid each month
- The dividends on member’s cooperative shares
- The redistribution of the cooperative’s profits upon approval of the annual accounts.
In addition, milk produced under specific standards, such as organic, PDO(1) or pasture-fed milk, not only creates value across the entire supply chain but also ensures better remuneration for farmers through an additional price premium.
