Guillaume

Farmer in Mayenne

A passionate farmer and dairy producer for 15 years, Guillaume is the fifth generation to carry on the family tradition. On his 80 hectares, he raises 85 Prim’Holstein dairy cows and produces nearly one million litres of milk each year with the help of a milking robot, combining savoir-faire and innovation.

“I love getting up at 5.30 every morning to look after my animals. It’s really what I’m passionate about.”

Farming ever more sustainably:

To help decarbonise the dairy sector, Guillaume has planted 2 km of hedgerows, installed solar panels to power his farm, and taken up no-till farming.

“Our cooperative truly belongs to us. The profits come back to us and we have a real say in how things are run. I’m proud to represent a farmer who stands up for his cooperative and its products.”

Samuel

Farmer in the Morbihan

“On the farm, I’m my own boss. I make choices every day that allow me to strike a balance between my work and my family life.”
Samuel au travail

Towards ever more sustainable farming:

Working towards a more sustainable dairy sector, Samuel has planted 11 km of hedgerows, a genuine heaven for biodiversity where wildlife and flora thrive. Thanks to his responsible practices, his gross carbon footprint stands at just 0.86 kg of CO₂ per litre of milk, a 12% reduction from his initial footprint.

“Choosing milk from our cooperative means saying yes to French milk! We support family-run, sustainable farming methods and it’s important consumers know that.”

Émilie

Farmer in the Rhône

A dairy farmer for three years, Émilie partnered with her husband Denis in a GAEC (Groupement Agricole d’Exploitation en Commun, a French joint farming cooperative) to carry on the fourth generation of the family business. On 47 hectares, she raises 60 dairy cows, mainly Prim’Holstein and Montbéliarde, and produces around 450,000 litres of milk each year in the milking parlour.

“I love sharing my everyday life with my husband and our three children, getting up in the morning to milk the cows and produce high-quality milk.”
Émilie au travail

Towards ever more sustainable farming:

Committed to sustainability, Émilie dedicates 75% of her farmland to grass, giving her cows a natural diet. She has planted 450 metres of hedgerows, on top of the 2 kilometres already on the farm, to strengthen biodiversity. Her practices also include reduced tillage and on-site electricity generation from solar panels, contributing to more responsible farming.

“I’m passionate about introducing the wider public to our cooperative model and our values. We are a collective where every voice truly counts, and that changes everything!”

Damien

Farmer in the Béarn

A farmer for 4 years, Damien took over the family farm to carry on the tradition. On 79 hectares, he raises 75 Prim’Holstein cows and produces around 616,000 litres of milk each year in the milking parlour. His farm lies within the Tomme des Pyrénées PGI area, and his milk goes mainly into the production of this iconic cheese.

"Dairy farming is demanding but deeply rewarding, I learn something new every day, and I'm fully committed to the well-being of my cows, whose quality milk is recognised and valued within our collective."
Damien au travail

Towards ever more sustainable farming:

With a strong commitment to biodiversity, Damien has set aside 36 hectares of his farm for natural areas: hedgerows, woods and meadows that support local flora and fauna. Though the land is well suited to maize and soya, his farm also includes temporary grasslands to diversify crop rotation and keep the soil in balance.

“Being a farmer ambassador means giving even more meaning to our collective commitment: every voice counts, and by championing our products, we share both the passion of our work and the rewards of our efforts within the cooperative.”

Quentin

Farmer in Mayenne

An organic dairy farmer, Quentin joined the family farm three years ago alongside his parents and brother. On 120 hectares, he raises 175 Kiwi Cross dairy cows and produces around 500,000 litres of milk each year in the milking parlour, remaining true to the values of rigorous organic production.

“I firmly believe that farming, an essential and noble profession, must attract a new generation to to take over from the many farmers set to retire in the coming years. All the more so because our system offers a rewarding way of life, meaningful work, and time for family."

Quentin au travail

Towards an ever more sustainable farming system:

Committed to sustainability, Quentin has planted nearly 2 km of hedgerows to support biodiversity, an essential refuge for wildlife and for the natural protection of the soil. His cows, graze on grass all year round, helping to maintain a dense root system that stimulates microbial life and stregthen the natural fertility of the land, at the heart of responsible organic farming.

“I chose to become an ambassador to reconnect with people, to engage with fellow farmers and consumers alike, and to share a modern and positive image of our profession. These encounters are genuinely enriching, as we always learn from others and that’s what helps us grow.”

Laurine

Laurine

Farmer in Haute-Marne

A producer of milk for AOP Brie de Meaux, Laurine set up on the family farm five years ago, a farm she now runs together with her parents, her brother and one employee. On 415 hectares, she raises 200 Prim’Holstein cows and produces nearly 2.1 million litres of milk in the milking parlour each year, destined for the production of this iconic cheese.

"What matters most to me is animal welfare. We've built an insulated barn fitted with waterbeds to give the cows the best possible comfort, especially in summer. By training in insemination and hoof-trimming myself, I can step in at the right moment and without stressing them, because their peace of mind comes first."
Laurine au travail

Towards ever more sustainable farming:

Committed to farming practices that respect ecosystems, Laurine has dedicated 50 hectares of grassland to AECM scheme (Agri-Environmental and Climate Measures). The scheme sets appropriate stocking densities for grazing animals in order to preserve the wetlands, habitats that are vital to biodiversity and to the natural balance of her farm.

“I chose to join the Oui au lait de notre coopérative movement to champion our three well known brands and to remind people of the importance of buying French. It’s also a chance to explain how our cooperative works, something that’s still too little understood.”
