In view of funding requirements estimated at EUR 3 billion* for the transition of the entire dairy sector, we are excited to announce the launch of a groundbreaking funding platform: Sodiaal Transitions!
With this unique system aimed at funding transition projects, our cooperative offers every direct and indirect player in the dairy sector the opportunity, through a wide range of services, to fund structural sustainability projects, for example:
- The Direct Purchase of Equipment or Services to Reduce CO2 Emissions: This includes financing for micro anaerobic digesters on farms, which effectively cut down carbon dioxide emissions. By providing the necessary funding, we help farms adopt innovative technologies that significantly lower their carbon footprint.
- The protection and Regeneration of Biodiversity: We invest in projects that nurture and expand the natural environment. An example is financing the planting of several kilometres of hedgerows on farms, which plays a vital role in preserving local biodiversity and promoting ecosystem health.
- The allocation of Milk Volumes Based on Carbon Footprint: This service is for customers who are committed to integrating sustainable French milk into their production chain. We allocate milk volumes based on a product’s carbon footprint, allowing clients to consciously reduce their environmental impact.
- The Improvement of Farmers’ Everyday Lives: We are dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of farmers. Through our platform, we provide funding for essential services such as days of leave or training programs, aiming to create a supportive and nurturing environment for those who are the backbone of our industry.
The ultimate goal of this environmental and social transition platform is clear: to accelerate the sustainability transition across the dairy sector. We aim to involve and empower all our cooperative partners in generating a concrete and positive impact on the environmental transition.
Together, let’s build tomorrow’s agriculture !
